Final Battle & Resolution

The climactic battle pits Yuji Itadori against the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna. Yuji unleashes his Domain Expansion, drawing Sukuna into a haunting vision of his hometown. In an emotional plea, Yuji urges him to stand down, but Sukuna refuses. With help from Megumi resisting within and Nobara’s strategic Resonance attack on Sukuna’s last cursed finger, Yuji lands a decisive Black Flash blow that destroys Sukuna’s essence and ends his reign of terror.

Aftermath & Rebuilding

With Sukuna, and Kenjaku, defeated, the surviving sorcerers return to Jujutsu High, scarred but alive. They take on missions to protect the world from curses. Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara carry Gojo’s legacy forward, Yuji especially adopts the mentor mantle, embracing compassion over punishment when confronting enemy sorcerers.

Gojo’s Legacy & Yuji’s Destiny

In a pivotal flashback, Gojo’s final words to Yuji—”I’m counting on you”—echo profoundly in chapter 271. This moment, bookending his mentorship, empowers Yuji to step up as the new guiding light of the sorcery world.

Sukuna’s Redemption in the Afterlife

In a rare twist, Sukuna reunites with Mahito in a spiritual realm. He admits regret, recognizing he might have chosen a different path if given another chance. This ending humanizes even the most fearsome villain.

Symbolic Final Panel

The story closes with Sukuna’s last finger placed in a shrine—not as a cursed object, but as a protective talisman. This powerful imagery suggests peace has been restored, and the cycle of destruction ended.

Futures and Goodbyes

The closing epilogue (chap. 271.5) ties up multiple character arcs:

  • Yuji reunites with childhood friend Ozawa in a heartwarming scene about shared memories.
  • Nobara meets her estranged mother—with hilarious tension and strong closure.
  • Panda appears in the year 2080, largely inactive but conscious, stored in a Gojo family facility. Yuta, now clan leader (and likely married to Maki), is mentioned.
