Sorcerers Who Never Reached Their Peak in Jujutsu Kaisen – The Fallen Stars!
The franchise of Jujutsu Kaisen has introduced the fans to quite many powerful characters over the time. Sorcerers have come and gone in JJK but few manage to get to an extraordinary degree of power. Indeed, there are many people, who, by birth, possess exceedingly high capacity for jujutsu.
However, this potential cannot always be realised in them and this is because most of the sorcerers often die way before they can achieve their full potential. At the same time, many are not even developed in the story, which results in stagnation of their progress.
In the series of Jujutsu Kaisen, fans have seen a bunch of sorcerers who either did not develop, or who died and thus could not evolve and reach the potential they had in them.
Megumi Fushiguro: The Gifted Sorcerer of the Zenin Clan
Megumi Fushiguro is one of the characters I find to be incredibly talented. Moreover, it is worth mentioning that he could be regarded as one of the most powerful sorcerers of his generation. In fact, Megumi exhibits a potency that is even greater than that. In the series, Gojo says that he can potentially achieve the same level of strength as him in the future.

But Megumi failed to realise his potential, and this can be attributed to the fact that Sukuna simply transferred his soul into Megumi’s body with the intention of using his body for reincarnation.
Since then, he has not been directly involved in the plot as a character, but has only acted as the host to Sukuna. The story is also very near the end and it can hardly come out that Megumi will eventually be able to realise the potential that he had with him but is deeply hidden.
Mai Zenin: Neglected Figure in the Zenin Clan
Mai Zenin was quite a skilled individual in the series although she was not in the league of the most powerful characters. Mai Zenin was born in a Zenin family, she had to endure much in order to look and feel like a beautiful and strong woman to meet the requirements of the society.
Mai tried to do as much as she could, and her efforts are understandable given that she was living in a society that did not accept her and women.

Mai had the cursed technique of Construction . Despite the fact that she could not put it into practise to a greater extent, this technique was rather powerful and this was proved further by the actions of Yorozu at some point.
If Mai was able to realise the full prowess of this cursed technique and produce the domain expansion as demonstrated by Yorozu, she could have been among the most formidable characters of the modern generation. Unfortunately, she was killed as a kind of tit for tat retribution on behalf of her sister, Maki.
Noritoshi Kamo of the Big Three Families
At the start of the anime show Jujutsu Kaisen, it was possible to get a feeling that Noritoshi Kamo was to be a rather significant character. This was due to the fact that he was among the members of Kamo Clan, which would later on rise to fame. He was also expected to perform the same duty just like Megumi, and he would later become a representative of his clan.

However, Noritoshi Kamo was left out from the story and this was mainly because of the fact that the writer had directed the plot to centre on specific people only and the rest got completely sidelined. In the Shinjuku Showdown Arc, he hardly participated in the events at all.
This means that he has stopped developing as a user of blood manipulation and is limited to what he already knows. Instead, Choso has been the better user of blood manipulation and at the same time, has been of better use in the story.
Kenjaku: The Sinister Presence
Despite all this, JJK has one of the most disappointing characters out of all the characters, and that is Kenjaku. Compared to all the characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, Kenjaku was one of the primary antagonists.
Moreover, there were many people who regarded him as an even worse villain than Sukuna. Still, for some inexplicable reason, the author just offended Kenjaku in the most anticlimactic manner possible.

This way, the character was unable to construct a proper villain arc, and thus, Kenjaku also left without a proper send-off. He had a more significant part to play in Jujutsu Kaisen, however, he could not demonstrate his potential strength, moreover, he could not achieve his actual objectives on his own.
Nobara Kugisaki’s Mastery of the Straw Doll Technique
Nobara is one of the main characters of JJK, and she was shown in the series from the beginning. She wanted to become a powerful sorcerer, and she did seem like she had the raw talent in her. Nobara evolved together with Megumi and Yuji, however, while two of them became powerful members of the group, Nobara didn’t and it was purely because the author decided to kill her off in the most brutal of ways.

However, the death of Nobara is one of the issues that were dealt with extremely badly by the author and it is possible to state that her potential is fully wasted, as she was one of the main characters.
As for Nobara, she could have been developed into a powerful sorcerer, probably the second most powerful in the series if not the first among the females, but the author never provided her with a chance to do so.
